Enhancing Content Engagement with MIRA
MIRA is a simple tool developed by Agent Studio to transform static articles into podcast-like conversational experiences. The project aims to improve user engagement and accessibility using generative AI and no-code solutions. The result offers a more engaging way for users to consume and digest information contained in text-based formats.
Problem and Context
Traditional articles often fail to convey certain topics in an easily digestible way, resulting in lower engagement. The challenge is to make this content more interactive, engaging, and accessible to help users better understand and consume difficult material.
Goals and Objectives
- Increase User Engagement: Transform static articles into interactive audio based conversations that boost user involvement.
- Enhance Accessibility: Provide alternative content formats to make information more accessible for users with different needs.
- Scalable Solution: Develop a scalable process that can convert any article into conversational formats via an easy-to-use interface.
Approach and Solution
Agent Studio uses a combination of generative AI and no-code tools to build MIRA.
- The first step is to design and build the front end using Bolt.new.
- Then, we develop the back end with a combination of tools:
- Claude LLM is used to generate the script.
- ElevenLabs (called via API) provides the voice-overs for the two participants in the generated conversations.
- n8n is the tool we use to assemble the different fragments of the voice-over into one cohesive audio file.
Results and Outcomes
The solution proves effective, reaching a similar quality compared to fully-fledged solutions like Google’s NotebookLM.
As a differentiator, MIRA also lets users define the duration of the generated audio, giving extra flexibility for those who want shorter content (compared to NotebookLM).
Reflection and Next Steps
- What Worked Well:
- The use of generative AI and no-code tools allowed for a quick development process (2 days in total).
- The conversational format was well-received by users in terms of accessibility and ease of understanding.
- Areas for Improvement:
- Excessive “chit-chat” interactions: Claude tends to add too many responses like “Absolutely!” and “Great!” even when explicitly instructed not to do so in the prompt.
